So, how long do you think it will be (after the original Pine ships) that we will hear rumblings about PINE II? Do you think it is already in development, as I do?
Edit: I think I wasn't clear when I said that I believe it is already in development. When I said that, I meant that I think (like Gerhard) that it is in the idea stages, as in they are making notes and plans besed on feedback from us already and what they themselves have experienced with the prototypes. Nothing hardcore, just the idea stage of development.

No, I don't think it's already in the works. They're such a small company they probably have too much to do to get the Pine I out the door first. They don't even seem to have time for another wrist strap design at the moment. And I think it's very smart of them to focus their power on one thing at a time and right now it's the Pine I production and finishing the accessories for it.
After that I think they need to split themselves into a team that designs new accessories for the Pine I and obviously a team to start working on the Pine II. Maybe the accessories could be outsourced to a company that specializes on such things? But I think they have much too much fun designing accessories to do that.
I think if the Pine II gets released in Q1 2015 they're fine. Much later might not be a good move and it need's to be more than a little bit different from the Pine I, not just a different processor and more RAM or something like that.
But I'm not a business person, I'm a lowly minion in a very big corporation, so what do I know?

I think they have a lot of things in mind for the pine II, but they are not working on this yet. There is too much to do for the actual pine and therefore no time left. But after delivery in March, they will spend a lot of work (or as Idefix says they will split ) for the next generation. I believe the next generation will come in the beginning of 2015.
