I have seen a few people mention MotoACTV, Omate and ZGPAX and was just curious how many people already have something smarter than a watch strapped to their wrists.
Right now, I am using the Galaxy Gear with my Note 3 and was wondering how many other people are using some type of smartwatch. What kind? Thoughts, good and bad?
I haven't been using the Gear for long, but I like it for what it was designed for. I rooted and Rom'd it, but ended up going back to the factory settings. With its screen size and such, it is a great companion piece, but (to me) it lost a good deal of that when it was running the custom ROM. Yes, probably much better battery life, more customizable, etc. But, it was definitely not The Pine.
I will still enjoy the Gear until my Pine gets here and then a friend has already staked a claim to buying the Gear from me. He works in a situation where they can not use cell phones on the floor and the Gear will enable him to (at a glance) see his texts or calls and then, if need be, leave the floor to handle business.

Hard to call my watch "smart", but it is gsm based phone. You can call and text[interface is not good to text and screen is too small, but it works]...but only works well with a bluetooth device.
I am really looking forward to ditching it and my note 2, to go to the pine. Even though I had the Note 2 for a year....i only like carrying it in my lapel pocket.....

I had the first Sony Watch. Really did not do much for me. I am at present using the Pebble. It gets more use due to the fact that we can no long have phones on the floor. So the notifications are more important now. Lets just hope that no one figures out the Pine is a phone. But if I just tether to my Note II then technically it isn't a phone

I ve had the SE LiveView, still working. Also 2 devices of the Sony SmartWatch1, both stopped to function after a while. For several days I owned the italian I'm watch. Sophisticated design, but technically a piede of poopy.
Now I ordered a WiMe Nanosmart which I want to use until the Pine comes to me.

I sold the WiMe Nanosmart because after short time I was very upset by the functionality and the very poor touchscreen.
Now I own a Omate Truesmart. The first smartwatch that seems to be nearly perfect.
Not nessesary to root for Gapps access. There is a simple button combination and Gapps including play store was installed fastly.
Very satisfied with the Omate TS. Still can hardly wait to get a Pine!!!
