I hope someone can answer this for me considering Pine never replied to this question that I sent them 2mo.ago.....dose anyone know if they compleated their talks with Verizon and Sprint to see if they will ALLOW them to be used on their network??? (just because they created a CDMA verison dosen't mean they will be allowed to be used on their networks) Last thing I heard a few weeks ago were that they were in talks with Verizon and nothing further.I don't need to wear a oversized watch on my wrist that can only be used on a hotspot or wifi.......thanks

There's been no further information. I assume, that means that no decisions have been made (by verizon or sprint) either way. there's not much neptune can do about that.

sorry if this posted again.......Ok thanks,but what would be the return policy if Verizon dosen't allow it on their network or should I just cancle it now? Last thing I need is a $400 watch that cant be used correctly...

I haven't checked the official return policy. I'm sure it's a simple one though. Email neptune. Two months ago they were swamped. they've been much more responsive of late.
Or I can email them for you, if you like.

Chris,that would be great if you could ask them about weather Verizon will allow this on their network and what their return policy would be if they don't allow it (I've tried a couple of times to email them with no responce) Thanks again.

Unfortunately this is what I was afraid of...even with Chris helping me out on this one and attempting to contact them through their FB page they seem to avoid wanting to answer these questions.I think I'm gonna wait for Iphone 6 and their version of a smartwatch and cancle my order consedering I now just learned that if you didn't order in Jan.you now won't recive this item til July.Also I cant justify starting a GSM account for the sake of this phone,nor using my CDMA phone as a wifi hotspot just for this item,that's pointless!!!!

Hi Martin, We don't know if Verizon will support the Pine before shipment, if the Pine is shipped and they do decide to support the Pine. You have 14 days to return the Pine to make the change. Yeah,I finaly got a responce from them on fb saying the same thing.Since my shipment will be delayed til July I think I'm gonna cancle my order and save my pennies for Iphone 6 and Iphone watch which is only 2 mo.later,I'm not opening a seperate GSM account just for a phone ... enjoy guys and thanks again.

I've heard basically the same thing you have. they really just don't know. there's not much they can do to make the phone company support the device. on the subject of an official return policy, they don't have one yet. Alisha said she submitted one for approval, in reply to our inquiry, but they haven't approved it yet. I wonder if it'd be worth setting up a secondary market thread here. I know a couple of people have already lined up selling their pine to another backer. there are a few who would be happy to buy a second(or third) pine. and if they're using it as a tethered device, lack of verizon support isn't an issue. what do you think @brian |
