*!!!Notification Management on Steroïd !!!*
*SWApp Link dev update 0.99*
I’m proud to present you the new Notification Management system !
Each incoming notification is now stored in a database. I will present you the features with the help of the attached picture.
1. When you enter the Notification Management you are presented with the icons of the applications that have sent notifications and you can see how many are “undismissed”
2. The 3 Blue/Red/green layers icon give access to all notifications
3. Will talk about the next icon later…
4. The lock is locked when only “undismissed” notifications are shown and unlocked (by a click) when you want to access all notification history (notifications are never deleted, only marked has dismissed)
5. The Clock with an arrow icon allow to choose if you want to get most recent notifications on top or the contrary
6. When you click on any of the app icon you get a list of the notification from that app and if you click on the “all app” icon you get this list with all notifications
7. Each list item shows the title, the text, the time/date of the notification, its index and the app icon
8. Clicking on any of them will open the notification.
9. The red cross icon “dismiss” the notification
10. The green pin pins it (we’ll see later what it does). If you pin a notification the pin turns red and the “dismiss” icon is removed
11. If the notification has been dismiss you can “undismiss” it by clicking on the undo red arrow (the lock on first page has to be unlocked to see dismissed notifications)
12. The icon bar vanishes (literally as you can see you the 3 screenshots) if you click on the text to give you as much screen space as possible. It will stay hidden when you browse between notification until you click again. The text is scrolling.
13. You can browse between notifications swiping left or right
14. The search icon on the first page allow you to enter any text and you’ll get the list of all notifications that contain this text. In this example I had searched the word “omate”. You can include dismissed notification with the checkbox
15. If you long click on an app icon or the “all apps” icon you will be able to dismiss all corresponding notifications excluding those that have been pined
16. If you long click on a list item you will be able to dismiss all notification until that position excluding those that have been pined
To be done yet:
1. Present the incoming notifications in the new system as they arrive
2. Add support for SMS/Call
3. Add a search by contact (they are some notification where it’s possible to extract the contact name)
4. Add a search by date
5. Add Local notifications (notifications generated by the watch apps)
6. option to dismiss notifications on the phone itself
...
They might be some problem as it’s brand new, please let me know !!!
If you have any other suggestion for this feature please share !
You might eventually get more control on your phone notifications from you watch that directly on your phone ;-)
