Just curious if the community houses many android app developers?
I have tinkered a bit and built one app last year, but mostly I'm a web programmer.

I'm a kernel tinkerer over at xda under the same name. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do with it.

I'd love to learn. Just so hard to find the time. Graduated with a computer science degree but sadly never did any programming after college.

Haha I too studied programming and now I'm in usability. Actually got to code in Html last week. Was starting to think I'd never actually program again!

I've done some app development, but nothing too fancy. Also have a degree in Computer Science.

I was in Engineering school, but somehow worked my way back to programming....but the longer I am at this, the lower level i go...html->jsp->c#->java->perl->c....guess assembly and fpga are next...
Amazing what you can do with a pinned core and single thread.....10m hits/sec....
anyway....i digress.
Android a micro-kernel of linux....or a completely different world?

ARM arch, but linux kernel. I tinkered with the Samsung Infuse, LG Optimus 3D and alittle on a personal HTC One S myself.

So here we are having devs in the house. Hope Brian can look through Beans as he is one of early devs to be mentioned getting something out from Neptune. Hope he'll join us soon. Anyway, is it possible that in the hours and days of getting yhe Pine, will anyone here with devs expertise or experiences can look for a compatible or stable rooting methods for the Pine?
