I really hope to switch from my GS3 to the Pine, but there are 2 things the GS3 does that I am really hooked on: Navigation and Audio books (Audible.com). I'm hoping I can tether the GS3 to the Pine so those 2 services still work...

navigation on the small screen (low resolution) of the pine might not be perfect but a few years ago all screens where smallish with lowish resolutions and we still managed to navigate with them (old Garmin devices...).
audible books on the other hand should be no problem on a pine. that's one of the things I believe the Pine to be perfect for. unless the audible app throws a tantrum and refuses to cooperate but then I'm going to be really unhappy with them. there's no need for a big screen in an audio-book app and the Pine has everything else that 'normal' Android smartphones have.

I fully intend on downloading offline maps to the Pine. I have them on my Lumia as well (I get lost easily in the physical world)

Definitely Phone otherwise I would go for Sony or Samsnung Stupid Watches. they're not stupid watches... they're just to add more choices in their devices markets. its business, and there'll be many versions or generations after the first. Pine too. cant wait Pine 2....

Oh yeah: slightly slimmer, higher resolution, more RAM, NFC in all versions, message LED, maybe an external SD slot? There's still things to improve in the Pine but that's what Pine 2 is for. In a year or so when our Founder's Editions are well worn, loved and completely normal gadgets for us. When we don't feel funny anymore because of the phone on the wrist thing that's so novel and kinda frightening right now. When we all have the wide sleeved wardrobe necessary to accommodate a Pine on the wrist Maybe the Pine can set a new wardrobe trend? Fashion and style are changeable. Short sleeves or wide sleeves and a phone on the wrist might be the new business casual in a year or two, who knows? idefix

I've been scouring through the Chinese online shops ad many has begin trading smartwatches..aaannnnnd..guess what? they've been comparing their devices with PINE! And when the Chinese started this, the global markets soon will realised (not that they didnt) the only comparison they're going to is PINE, and THUS THE GENERATION OF SMARTWATCH:REINVENTED will be 100% reality. less than 6 months from now it will be!! just see how last year many tech reviewers and those magazines and those business people says about 5"-6" phones? Less than a year? ITS A PHABLET WORLD! As i See Pine, This Year Will Be The Year Of 2.5" Smartwatch and it will be going up...
