If someone manages to get Android 4.3 or 4.4 on the Pine the Dash should work with the Pine. As is it won't. An official Android update from Neptune mostly depends on system drivers form Qualcom that are not available for the used processor at the moment. If they ever will be no one knows. An unofficial alternative ROM from an independent developer on the other hand seems likely since I seem to remember someone saying that other smartphones with the same processor as the Pine already have unofficial Kitkat ROMs available. They don't necessarily seem to need the official drivers.

@ brian Nice find by the way If it works as planned and fits in my small ears I'd be really tempted. Sadly I've had several in-ear phones where even the small version was too broad for my slim ear-canals. Maybe I'll gamble and get one nonetheless. Only downside I can see is the somewhat limited play time, 3h is not always enough. And I haven't seen anything about the tracking data format. If it exports FIT files I'd be very happy. But apart from them trying to build their own island in the sports tech world they probably will export FIT files since that's the most widely used format at the moment. Or maybe just support upload to one specific platform? Need to look at the comments... @ roland And of course the music player part of the Dash will work with the Pine as is. I don't think we ever got an answer to the question if the Pine supports aptX but if not both the Dash and the Pine can always connect via A2DP (standard Bluetooth stereo). idefix

That was a great read and I feel even more confident on these being a safe reality. Is there a chance of hiccups... of course. But, just like with the Pine, I am willing to endure the possibly speedbumps, in exchange for a product that will make my friends jaws drop.

15,062 backers $3,184,319 pledged of $260,000 goal 66 hours to go
The multi stretch goal is now just around the corner at 3,333,333 1) Giving you the option of receiving The White Dash or The Black Dash 2) Giving you 4 colored sleeves in addition to the standard sleeve (black or white). The colors are Kickstarter exclusive. 3) Giving you The Leash for the more adventurous backers.
I think the project is still looking very promising. BRAGI does near perfect communication and they seem to know exactly what they are doing and don't deviate from their plan.

The hardest part for me is going to be waiting from now until November (at best) for what I feel is going to be an amazing product. I guess I'll just keep busy playing with my Pine and hope the time passes quickly. LOL
