This is such an awesome project. Only has 12 days left, as I am posting, so JUMP on it. <----- see what I did there

For those who have backed the Jump. They decided to change one of their stretch goals. Instead of a 500k stretch goal to unlock the kickstarter edition, they changed it to 300k. They currently are at $253,496 and have 12 days to go.

Can't wait for this too! I'm afraid I'm addicted to kickstarter...

Can't imagine why any Pine owner wouldn't want to be in on the JUMP charger.

Just an FYI, if you have ordered one JUMP unit at $40, additional units are $35 each. I got 3 JUMP for $110.

Don't forget about the Ark, for Qi enabled devices (and to charge the Jump at the same time!)

Energizer XP2000I can't figure out why this JUMP project purports to be innovative. I have had my Energizer XP2000 for four years now for charging my Archos 5 tablet on the go. It will continue to be useful with my Pine.

It will continue to be useful with my Pine. The JUMP is half the size of that Energizer and can therefore easily fit in the coin pocket of a pair of jeans...

How is JUMP different than an external battery? Can you fit more mAh in this?
JUMP is much different than the traditional power-bank. It's more of a replacement for your charging cable than a replacement for power-banks.
External batteries require you to charge them as an extra device, and also require an extra charging cable for the battery itself. It becomes a burden to use because you must remember to charge it, and must lug two tangled cables around (one for your device, one for your power bank). JUMP looks to simplify this problem in the most subtle way, one that fits your lifestyle rather than goes against it.
JUMP does all of the charging for you, and gives you the most efficient boost it can in its small form-factor. Most importantly, it gives you ease of mind knowing there's always power in your pocket.
We have definitely looked into adding more power into JUMP, but unfortunately, doing so would delay the estimated delivery date quite a bit due to bringing design and development back to square one. We want to ensure we take our estimated May delivery date seriously, and are going to deliver the JUMP that thousands of backers love already as soon as we can.
Does JUMP support data transfer?
Yes! JUMP is a new and improved version of the traditional charging/sync cable, with a neat cable storage system and an extra kick of power in your pocket.

If just 1/3 of the backers would each order one extra for $35, we would break $400K and all get the leather pouch.
