Hello all!
I just recieved my pine and while setting it up I noticed that the memory is split into three partitions. A 2gb main system partition, a 600mb storage partition and a 14.8gb storage partition. This is a little confusing, as apps such as Google Play Music (or other apps that use large amounts of data) are tricked into thinking there isn't enough space on the device. Does anyone know how to delete the 14.8gb partition and merge it with the main system partition? There isn't a way to delete it from the disk manager in windows as it treats each partition as a separate disk. I have tried the link2sd app and that didn't really work (yes I am rooted, all pines are by default). Can anyone think of a fix? This issue is quite annoying and I would like to fix it as soon as possible.

ya, that is really strange why it would be setup like that? I just got mine as well and i would like to know how to fix this as well.

I'd think the third partition is the internal SD card (16GB) and the first two the build in flash (4GB probably, with system and swap and recovery and so forth leaving 600MB for a data partition).
Combining two partitions that are located on different hardware (SD-card and flash chip) might not be possible though. In the case of the Pine with a rather big SD-card (16GB, 32GB...) and really small rest of internal flash (600MB) it might be best to just unmount the internal data partition and mount the sc-card as 'storage partition 1' so that the apps are installed there and use it as data storage for music or maps or whatever. How to do that in Android, I don't know, though. Or even better combine the internal partitions to one, so add the 600MB to the 2GB system partition. I guess that's what shows up as 'internal storage' in Android with the 600MB being called 'phone storage', and both can be used for app installation, while the third cannot, right?
My 4GB Iconbit Callisto (TrueSmart clone) is setup similarly. It has two 1,3GB partitions (internal storage and phone storage) and than a user accessible SD-card 32GB in my case and the apps get confused by this as well. Sad to hear that it's the same with the Pine, I opted for water-resistant so I have to wait a bit longer but I'm really looking forward to getting mine.

Yeah, I have been messing around with it and haven't figured it out yet. The problem with your idea Idefix is that you can't unmount the internal data, you can unmount another partition though. This still doesn't help that much. The swap2sd app seems like the best option for android if I can get it to work (it requires certain partitions that you can't create with the SD card).
And yes you are correct about the third partition. You can manually switch apps between the first two in the settings but the third is only for files you manually store or move via root explorer.

Yes there is a solution to swap the sdcard1 to sdcard0, means you can install all apps with data on the 16 GB sdcard. Look here how it was done : www.facebook.com/groups/1402693503315915/Fetguy found a solution. I tested it and it works very well. Previously it was not possible to install a nav app like copilot with maps because there was not enough space ( on the 600 MB sdcard). After the swap you have 16 Gb, enough to install a lot of apps and data.
